OSU sophomore Jessi Gebhardt shot a 69 in the first round. It was the best score of the day and tied the school's single-round record. She shot an 83 in the second round and was tied for 18th at 152.

earns national ranking

CORVALLIS - The Oregon State women's soccer team, which beat No. 8 Wake Forest 2-1 on Sunday, was ranked for the first time in a decade when the Soccer America national rankings were released this week.

For the No. 23 Beavers (4-1), it is believed to be the first time the program has been ranked nationally since the end of the 1995 season.

"A national ranking is a nice pat on the back for our kids, and as long as they file it away in the backs of their minds, it's a great thing," coach Steve Fennah said.

OSU remained unranked in the other major polls (NSCAA NSCAA National Soccer Coaches Association of America (since 1941; Mission, Kansas)

Reedsport changes

Friday's football game

Reedsport's home football game against Mapleton on Friday has been canceled. Instead, the Braves will play Blanchet High School at Willamette University Willamette’s College of Liberal Arts is the undergraduate school on campus. The oldest of the graduate programs is the College of Law, founded in 1883 and located in the Truman Wesley Collins Legal Center.  in Salem at 7 p.m.
