Bishop Senior Vice President and General Counsel, effective October 1, 1999. Bishop replaces Norman L. Roberts, who is retiring from the industrial technologies company after 32 years of service. Bishop joined UNOVA from Paxar Corporation in New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of where he had been Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary since November 1997. He began his career with Litton Industries Named after inventor Charles Litton Sr., Litton Industries was a large defense contractor in the United States, bought by the Northrop Grumman Corporation in 2001. , a UNOVA predecessor company, in 1977 as a Division Counsel within the company's Advanced Electronics Systems Group (AESG AESG Aeronautical Systems Group (US Air Force) AESG Alderley Edge School for Girls (UK) AESG Australian Essential Services Group (Australia) AESG Automation Evolution Steering Group ). He then assumed legal positions of increasing responsibility within that group and became Vice President Group Counsel of Litton's AESG in April 1990. Following the spin-off of Western Atlas from Litton, Bishop in March 1993 was elected a Corporate Vice President of the new company and was Associate General Counsel. He held those positions until March 1996 when he left to join Monarch Marking Systems, Inc. At Monarch he served as Vice President, Strategic Development, Human Resources, General Counsel and Secretary until November 1997 when he began working at Paxar Corporation as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Bishop is a graduate of Gettysburg College, with a B.A. degree in Philosophy in 1971, followed by a J.D. degree from the Temple University School of Law in 1974.
