 UNIVISION NAMES NEW GENERAL MANAGER OF MIAMI'S WLTV-CHANNEL 23
 MIAMI, May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Univision President and Chief Executive Officer Ray Rodriguez announced today the appointment of Filiberto Fernandez to vice president and general manager of Univision's Miami affiliate, WLTV-Channel 23. Fernandez had been vice president of new business development for Univision, the nation's leading Spanish-language television network.
 In his new capacity, Fernandez will oversee all aspects of the station's operations, including programming, promotions, news, research, and advertising sales.
 "Filiberto's experience with the U.S. Hispanic market is vast and has proven extremely valuable to Univision," said Ray Rodriguez. "I am confident that WLTV, as well as our Miami viewers and clients, will benefit from Filiberto's knowledge, expertise and charisma."
 Fernandez has more than 10 years experience in international Hispanic marketing/communications positions, implementing marketing campaigns in the U.S., Latin America and Europe. Immediately prior to joining Univision, Fernandez was senior vice president of Castor Advertising Corporation, where he was responsible for providing strategic direction and financial management for such prestigious national accounts as McDonald's, Pan Am, Procter & Gamble, Ralston Purina and K-mart.
 Fernandez's extensive background in the Hispanic market also includes management experience with Bermudez Associates as vice president/general manager; Polaroid Corporation as marketing manager, market development; and The First National Bank of Boston as senior marketing manager.
 Fernandez's market expertise and warm, personable style have made him a much sought-after authority at national U.S. Hispanic marketing conferences and conventions throughout his career.
 Fernandez graduated from Merrimack College in Andover, Mass. He is married and has two children.
