UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FLORIDA RECEIVES ADVERTISING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
 HONORS FROM HOTEL SALES AND MARKETING ASSOCIATION
 ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMAI) has honored Universal Studios Florida with four prestigious Adrian Advertising Awards and one Golden Bell Award for creative advertising and public relations in the travel industry. The awards, which were announced at a black-tie dinner in New York City on Wednesday, Jan. 29, recognized Universal Studios Florida with its advertising agencies/marketing consulting firms, Robinson, Yesawich & Pepperdine Inc. (RY&P); Foote, Cone and Belding; Chesler, Garvie and Daniels; Cinema East and its public relations agency, Ketchum Public Relations.
 Universal St category, a Silver Award in the Travel Trade category, and a Bronze Award in the Consumer Travel Sales category. The Golden Bell Public Relations Award is a Gold Award in the New Opening Campaign category. The Hotel Sales and Marketing Association introduced its awards program in 1957. This year alone, the association awarded 1,600 entries from 26 countries.
 "Placing in five categories is a phenomenal achievement considering the intensely competitive field of entrants," said Randy Garfield, executive vice president of Marketing for Universal Studios Florida. "We are very pleased with the results and grateful for the recognition of our industry colleagues. Advertising and public relations are the key to solidifying our position in the entertainment and travel fields and these awards are proof of our determination to be the best," added Garfield.
 Universal Studios Florida is the world's most spectacular and technologically advanced movie-themed attraction. The 444-acre studio attraction provides guests the opportunity to "ride the movies," including such favorites as "Back To The Future...The Ride," "E.T. Adventure," "Earthquake" and "Kongfrontation." Director and Producer Steven Spielberg serves as creative consultant to the $630 million entertainment complex which is a joint venture between MCA INC. and The Rank Organisation.
