UNITED NATIONAL BANK APPOINTS GREGOR PRESIDENT-ELECT PLAINFIELD, N.J., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The appointment of Thomas
C. Gregor as president-elect of United National Bank was announced today by Donald A. Buckley, chairman and chief executive officer of the Plainfield-based financial institution. Gregor will assume his duties as president and chief executive officer upon Buckley's retirement on June 1.
Gregor began his 24-year banking career with First National Bank of Central Jersey, Bridgewater Township, serving in credit analysis and commercial loan administration. Elected officer in charge of commercial loans in 1972, he was designated commercial calling officer in 1976 and named to head the commercial loan department as vice president and senior lending officer in 1981. He was elevated to senior vice president six years later. His appointment as senior vice president and division head of new Jersey Markets Group Central Division took place in 1989 when First National Bank merged into National Westminster Bank N.J., headquartered in Jersey City. United National's president-elect holds a master's degree in business and finance from Bowling Green University, Bowling Green, Ohio, and is a 1982 graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. He is currently president of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of Robert Morris Associates, an association of bank commercial loan officers, and is active with the Watchung Council, Boy Scouts of America.
