 UNITED NAMES PLANNING AND FINANCE OFFICERS;
 ANNOUNCES NEW VICE PRESIDENT-LATIN AMERICA
 CHICAGO, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines announced three key management appointments today in the planning, finance and Latin American divisions.
 Rakesh Gangwal, formerly vice president of financial planning and analysis, has been named United's senior vice president-planning, responsible for the airline's worldwide route planning, fleet planning, pricing and inventory management.
 Gangwal joined United in 1984 and has held a variety of management positions, including vice president-revenue management, vice president- flight administration, director-flight business plans and manager- strategic planning. A native of Calcutta, India, he holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur. Gangwal also holds a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
 Stephan G. Regulinski, formerly United's director of corporate research and development, takes over as vice president of financial planning and analysis. In that position, Regulinski will oversee financial analysis, financial planning, methods and standards and operations research.
 Regulinski began his career with United in 1988. Prior to that, he held a consulting position with Decision Focus Inc., an operations research consulting firm based in Los Altos, Calif. Regulinski obtained a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Ohio State University and holds both a master's degree and a doctorate in engineering economic systems from Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.
 Mark S. Liberman will lead United's new Latin American division as vice president-Latin America, based in Miami. He will be responsible for all of United's airport, sales and reservations operations in Latin America.
 In his 22-year career with the airline, Liberman has held a variety of positions, most recently, vice president-services planning. Liberman also served as vice president-reservations and ticket sales and held posts in customer service and airport operations. Liberman holds a bachelor's degree from Kent State University.
