UNITED AIRLINES TRAFFIC INCREASES 15.7 PERCENT
CHICAGO, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines today reported that

its total scheduled revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased 15.7 percent in August compared with the same month of 1991. Available seat miles (ASMs) grew by 9.5 percent, resulting in a 4.3 point increase in load factor to 80.1 percent.
"Traffic has been at record-setting levels throughout the month of August," commented J.C. Pope, president and chief operating officer.
