UNIFORCE TEMPORARY PERSONNEL, INC. ANNOUNCES THIRD QUARTER RESULTS
NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Uniforce Temporary Personnel, Inc. (NASDAQ: UNFR) today announced its revenues and earnings for the third quarter 1992. Revenues were $22,910,370 for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1992, as compared to $24,283,995 for the third quarter of 1991. Net earnings for the quarter were $359,071 ($.08 per share) versus $312,424 ($.07 per share) for 1991.
Commenting on the company's third quarter performance and future plans, President and Chief Executive Officer, John Fanning stated, "The expansion of high margin product lines and professional temporary services such as MIS, technical, lab support and payroll transfer services will lay the foundation for future sales and increasing profitability. Toward that same goal, we continue to diminish our emphasis on lower margin, light industrial business due to the impact of accelerating workers' compensation insurance costs."
Because of the uncertainty in the U.S. economy, the company believes increased shareholder communication is extremely important and therefore, will be instituting a fourth quarter earnings release.
The company, under its trade name Uniforce Services, is a national network of 67 predominantly licensed offices providing temporary personnel in the general and automated office, MIS, technical, lab support, legal, marketing, accounting, records management, hospitality and light industrial service categories. The Uniforce common stock is traded in the Over-the-Counter market under the NASDAQ symbol UNFR.
