) to provide integrated operating services for ten Washington, D.C. properties. CarrAmerica selected UNICCO to provide bundled services and manage several subcontractors to give CarrAmerica managers a single point of contact for all building services. The contract is being implemented in three phases with UNICCO beginning immediately at five properties and ultimately extending to 3.5 million square feet at five additional sites west of the White House. The first five properties are: 1700, 1717, 1730, 1747 and 1775 Pennsylvania Avenue Pennsylvania Avenue is a street in Washington, D.C. joining the White House and the United States Capitol. Called "America's Main Street," it is the location of official parades and processions, as well as protest marches and civilian protests. .

UNICCO will be applying some of its latest management technology, including palmtops for automated inspections, advanced time management systems, eProcurement and Electronic Data Interchange See EDI.

UNICCO will receive tenant work order requests through an 800 number or over the Internet from the CarrAmerica InfoCentre call center. UNICCO personnel will then instantly receive new work orders through their wireless handheld devices and use the same Internet-based capability to close out the work orders as soon as they are completed.
