UNH-IOL Selects Circadiant Systems' Tester for Verifying 10 Gigabit Ethernet Switches and Routers Compliance to IEEE Standards.

ALLENTOWN, PA -- Industry's leading test house for networking and data communications products will use Circadiant's OST to test optical receivers on 10 Gigabit Ethernet systems

Circadiant Systems, Inc., the real-world optical testing company, today announced that the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) will integrate it's Optical Test System for certifying 10 GE product compliance to the IEEE 802.3ae Stressed Receiver Sensitivity (SRS) Standard.

The UNH-IOL will use Circadiant's OST to perform 10 GE physical layer compliance verification and performance testing of Ethernet systems. To ensure multi-vendor interoperability and quality of service of voice, video and data services, compliance to the IEEE 802.3ae Standard is a requirement. The Circadiant OST is considered the de facto standard in the industry for this important compliance test.

The Circadiant OST makes compliance testing fast, easy and accurate. The OST automatically generates factory calibrated real-world SRS test signals to measure compliance to the IEEE 802.3ae Standard. The optical stressed signal is applied to a system and a bit error rate versus power measurement is automatically done to obtain receiver sensitivity. The stressed receiver sensitivity measurement is a predictor of multi-vendor physical layer interoperability.
