ULI New York will honor Frankel for her efforts promoting UrbanPlan in New York City at the fundraiser, which will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at the Princeton Club, 15 West 43rd Street in Manhattan. Frankel will receive her award from Leslie Koch, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of the Fund for Public Schools.

Urban Land Institute is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit research and education organization that focuses on development and land use issues. It developed UrbanPlan approximately a decade ago and gradually introduced it to school districts nationwide. The program came to New York City three years ago.

UrbanPlan has educated students at several public high schools, including Stuyvesant High School Stuyvesant High School, commonly referred to as Stuy, is a New York City public high school that specializes in mathematics and science. The school opened in 1904 on Manhattan's East Side and moved to a new building in Battery Park City in 1992. , Bronx Science, Murray Bergtraum and High School of Telecommunications. For the 2004-2005 academic year, over 20 classes of students have participated or are participating in UrbanPlan.
