UHY Advisors Expands E-Discovery Services with Appointment of Doug Herman as Managing Director in New York Office.

NEW YORK -- Doug Herman has joined UHY Advisors FLVS, Inc. as a managing director in the firm's fast-growing Forensic, Litigation and Valuations Services (FLVS) group. He will be based in the New York office, located on 44th Street between 5th and 6th (midtown), according to Joseph Jaffe, managing director of the FLVS Group in New York.

UHY Advisors' FLVS Group is a national consulting practice that has been successfully working with law firms and in-house law departments for more than 25 years to deliver a comprehensive package of services for litigation consulting, fraud and forensic services, and business valuation.

As part of the FLVS team, Mr. Herman will head up the expansion of their firm's electronic discovery services practice. In addition to his role leading UHY Advisors' business development efforts in this area, Mr. Herman will work with clients to strategize how they respond to electronic discovery requests in connection to commercial litigation matters and then manage the professional staff that will execute those activities.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Herman was vice president and senior technical consultant for Electronic Evidence Discovery, Inc. (EED), based in their New York offices. While at EED, he was responsible for managing teams of project managers, operations technicians and production staff, and was responsible for all aspects of the electronic discovery life cycle in large, complex litigation.

Previous work experience included two years as a consultant at Equarius, Inc., and three years as structural engineer at Boeing Commercial Airplane Group in Everett, Wash.

Mr. Herman earned his bachelors degree in engineering mechanics from the University of Wisconsin, and both his master of computer science degree and his master of business administration degree from City University in Seattle.
