UCLA (10-2, 3-0) update: With USC and Kansas on the horizon next week, this is a game UCLA might look past - and with good reason. The Bruins have beaten the Cougars 18 consecutive times and never have lost to them in Los Angeles, a span of 45 games that dates back to 1950. Only once in the past eight years has the game at Pauley Pavilion been closer than 10 points. Forward T.J. Cummings, who averaged 10 points per game through the first nine games, is averaging 19.3 and shooting 68 percent from the field in the past three games. UCLA rallied from a nine-point deficit in the final 11 minutes to win 79-74 in their last meeting, its cause being helped by three WSU starters fouling out. Guard Cedric Bozeman, who reported no signs of swelling after his return from knee surgery Friday, could get up to 15 minutes, coach Steve Lavin said.

Washington State (4-7, 0-3) update: The Cougars have four starters from Southern California - guards Mike Bush (Riverside), Jerry McNair (Torrance) and Marcus Moore (Inglewood), and Milton Riley (Gardena) - so at least they're excited about the trip. ``It's like coming home,'' coach Paul Graham said. ``But I reminded them this is a business trip.'' Bush, who rejoined the basketball team after playing receiver for the Sun Bowl-winning football team, was sick Saturday with flu-like symptoms. He did not practice and received fluids through an IV but is expected to play. Moore, the sophomore point guard from Dominguez High in Compton, is averaging 14.3 points.
