 (12-6, 6-4) update: Leading scorer and rebounder Dijon Thompson (17.6 points per game, 8.4 rebounds per game) is averaging 24 points in his past two games, hitting 16 of 24 field goals. Freshman guard Arron Afflalo (10.6 ppg) has scored in double figures once in the past four games.

Washington (18-3, 8-2) update: The Huskies have won 19 in a row at home and 13 consecutive Pacific-10 games dating to an 80-75 loss last season to UCLA. Guards Tre Simmons (17.1 ppg) and Nate Robinson (16.3 ppg) lead Washington in scoring. Former UCLA point guard Cameron Dollar is an assistant coach.

Washington State (9-10, 4-6) update: The Cougars are 3-0 against USC under coach Dick Bennett. Guard Jeff Varem has averaged 18.3 points per game against the Trojans. The Cougars' style doesn't lend itself to many fastbreak opportunities. They had zero fastbreak points during an overtime loss Thursday to UCLA.

UC IRVINE at CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge

UC Irvine (10-8, 4-6) update: The Anteaters played Pacific tough Thursday, leading by one point with eight minutes left in a 71-61 loss at Stockton. Ross Schraeder, who leads Irvine in scoring, averaging 14.1 points per game, scored 18 points. UC Irvine's only Big West road win last year was at the Northridge Gym.

CSUN (11-9, 8-3) update: Long Beach State took the Matadors to the wire Thursday, but CSUN pulled out a 68-66 win. Ian Boylan has at least two steals in the past 15 games, and Davin White has scored in double figures the past 12 games. CSUN has made only 55.8 percent of its free throws in its past two Big West games. The Matadors have converted 70.7 percent this season.

Pepperdine (13-10, 3-5) update: Senior Yakhouba Diawara lost his starting spot, but he scored 22 points with 11 rebounds in an 85-68 romp Thursday at San Francisco to end the Waves' five-game losing streak. ``It felt good, but like any win or loss, you have to leave it in the rearview mirror,'' coach Paul Westphal said. Pepperdine committed just 10 turnovers. Marvin Lea and Kingsley Costain started, Alex Acker played the 3-guard.

San Diego (11-10, 3-5) update: The Toreros have lost three of their past four games, but they beat Loyola Marymount 77-70 Thursday. USD USD
