UCLA NOTEBOOK: JOHNSON INJURED IN INCIDENT.

Johnson, who will be a senior power forward next season, was not arrested and does not face criminal charges, city attorney's office spokesman Frank Mateljan said. Johnson, who averaged 1.4 points in 20 games last season, met with UCLA coach Ben Howland on Tuesday.

``Josiah was very forthcoming about the details of this incident,'' Howland said. ``My players know it's inappropriate to be out late on a school night. Adhering to that policy could have avoided this incident. Fortunately, Josiah was not the aggressor, nor was he at fault.''

Johnson won't face disciplinary action from the school.
