 coach slipped into Pauley Pavilion Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion, informally and commonly known as Pauley Pavilion, is an indoor arena located on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles, California. It is home to the UCLA Bruins men's and women's basketball teams. The men's and women's volleyball teams also play here.  virtually unnoticed Saturday. Does he ever think what might have happened if he'd stayed?

``Yeah,'' said Bartow, whose salary at UCLA was $33,000. ``I just didn't have the right personality for this job. I don't know Don't know (DK, DKed)

 - maybe my ego wasn't big enough, but after the first year, I just didn't have a good feel about it. Following coach Wooden, there's so much attention. It took the fun out of it. I've always been pretty relaxed, and stress, I think, is bad for people.

``I felt like I could be successful there. I thought when I took the job that over a 10-year period, I'd get a national championship or two or three if we had some good luck and stayed away from injuries. I just didn't realize the microscope I'd be under.''

Bozeman averaged 1.1 points in 23 games with five starts with the Hawks before being waived in January 2007.  made some freshman mistakes Saturday, an ill-advised 3-point attempt and a nearly disastrous turnover late in the game. But his presence on the court for 27 minutes was noticed beyond the Bruins' bench.

``He was controlling the basketball and getting them in their offense,'' Kansas guard Jeff Boschee said. ``They looked so much more organized when he was out there. He played extremely well.''
