National Football League NFL (US) n abbr (= National Football League) → Fußball-Nationalliga Alumni Charity Golf Classic, held Mon., Sept. 23 at Los Coyotes Country Club in Buena Park, Cal. Boghosian teamed with fellow golfers John Buehler, Paul Knutson, Scott Morey and Tom Nieman to beat out a field of 26 other fivesomes captained by NFL Alumni who included Ben Davidson, Tom Flores and Jim Tunney. The Los Angeles Chapter tournament was one of 25 tournaments to be held nationwide as part of the 2002 NFL Alumni Charity Golf Tour. Each stop on the tour features an 18-hole scramble event with five-man teams captained by NFL Alumni members. Boghosian's team will compete at SBOG XXIII for the mythic national championship against winning teams from each stop on the 2002 NFL Alumni Charity Golf Tour. Boghosian was an offensive lineman and academic All American on UCLA's 1954 national championship squad. He went on to NFL stints as an assistant coach for the Houston Oilers (1974-75), Seattle Seahawks (1976-77) and Oakland Raiders (1979-87).
