UCLA FOOTBALL: WR COACH HEADS TO LSU.

Receivers coach D.J. McCarthy, who spent one season with the Bruins, became the third offensive assistant coach to leave UCLA after he accepted a job for the same position at LSU LSU Louisiana State University

McCarthy joins offensive line coach Jim Colletto Jim Colletto is the current offensive line coach for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. He was hired on January 29, 2007 after spending a year as the UCLA offensive line coach under Karl Dorrell.  and offensive coordinator An offensive coordinator typically refers to the coach on a football team in the National Football League or College football who is in charge of the offense. This position aids the head coach by designing and scripting plays, delegating work to offensive position coaches during  Jim Svoboda as assistants to leave after last season.

Colletto took a job with the NFL's Detroit Lions. Svoboda was fired.

McCarthy came to Westwood after two seasons at Central Florida. He tutored a UCLA receiving group that struggled with consistency throughout a 7-6 season.

If Dorrell wants to look within the UCLA family for a replacement, a possibility is former Crenshaw cren·shaw   also cran·shaw

Scott also has UCLA ties. After originally attending Northwestern, the former receiver transferred to UCLA.
