Medlock was released at 8:58 p.m. Saturday after posting a $10,000 bond. In past instances involving an arrest, Dorrell suspended the player for a minimum of one game. If Medlock is suspended, it would keep the junior out of the Dec. 30 Sun Bowl against Northwestern, and put UCLA's kicking game in a quandary. Medlock, who was 13 of 17 on field goal attempts, is the only placekicker the Bruins (9-2) used the last two seasons. Freshmen walk-ons Brian Mallette and Jimmy Rotstein, or punter Aaron Perez, could be forced to handle the kicking duties. Dorrell was brought to UCLA, in part, to clean up UCLA's off-the-field image, and he has done so. This is the first arrest a UCLA football player in more than two years.
