 singles tennis champion and doubles finalist as a freshman at UCLA UCLA University of California at Los Angeles
UCLA University Center for Learning Assistance (Illinois State University)
UCLA University of Carrollton, TX and Lower Addison, TX
 in 1975 and now the team's coach, was among eight new members to be named to the ITA Collegiate Tennis Hall of Fame.

Honorees will be inducted May 20 during the 112th NCAA championships at the University of Georgia Organization
The President of the University of Georgia (as of 2007, Michael F. Adams) is the head administrator and is appointed and overseen by the Georgia Board of Regents.

Martin turned pro after that incredible '75 season and was named pro rookie of the year Rookie of the Year may refer to:
  • Rookie of the Year (award), a sports award for the most outstanding rookie in a given season
  • Rookie of the Year (film), a 1993 starring Thomas Ian Nicholas
  • Rookie of the Year (album) by rapper Ya Boy
 in '76, but injuries ended his career.

The other elected members:

John McEnroe, Stanford's 1978 NCAA singles champion who went on to win four U.S. Opens and three Wimbledon crowns, plus a mainstay on five victorious U.S. Davis Cup teams.

Berkeley Bell of Texas, the 1929 NCAA singles champion and semifinalist in 1928.

Bruce Barnes of Texas, the NCAA doubles champion in 1931, Southwest Conference singles and doubles champ from 1929-31.

Jack Douglas of Stanford, a NCAA singles and doubles finalist in 1959 who was also an All-American in football as a quarterback.

George Peabody Gardner Jr. of Harvard, the 1907 singles champion, doubles finalist in 1909 and a member of the Harvard Hall of Fame (also starring in track, hockey and baseball).

Antonio Palafox of Corpus Christi University, the outstanding collegiate player in 1961-64 but unable to play in an NAIA NAIA
abbr.
National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes
 championship because of play with Mexican Davis Cup team and Wimbledon participation.

A.B. ``Butch'' Krikorian, who coached San Jose State for 24 years (1957-80). His teams won six Big West Conference titles, while his player, Whitney Reed, won the NCAA singles title in 1959. Krikorian himself was an NAIA singles champ at San Jose State in 1952 and USTA USTA United States Tennis Association
