 partners who are part of a team that, last fall, purchased the National Basketball Association's Atlanta Hawks and the National Hockey League's Atlanta Thrashers The Atlanta Thrashers are a professional ice hockey team based in Atlanta, Georgia. They are members of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). Their home arena is Philips Arena. ?

They're in the news again thanks to a lengthy article in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution written by Tim Tucker and published April 5, 2004.
