UCB UCB - University of California at Berkeley has bought a license from the Swiss firm EMS Ems, town, Germany
Ems or Bad Ems (bät ĕms), town (1994 pop. 10,130), Rhineland-Palatinate, W Germany, on the Lahn River. for the manufacture of polyester resins Polyester Resin - Unsaturated Polyester Resin. The term generally used for unsaturated (means containing chemical double bonds) resins formed by the reaction of dibasic organic acids and polyhydric alcohols, basic component of SMC/BMC. for powder paints. Under the terms of the agreement, UCB will have access to the technology of EMS and will take over sales and then gradually manufacture.
