UC SANTA BARBARA VS. CS NORTHRIDGE.

Tipoff: 7:05 p.m. at the Northridge gym.

On the air: KWNK-AM (670).

CS Northridge (3-5) update: The Higgins brothers are doing just what former coach Pete Cassidy said they would - helping the Matadors win. In fact, Northridge attempts its first three-game winning streak since 1992. Keith Higgins, a senior forward, is Mr. First Half. His point totals the past four games: 6, 9, 11 and 20. His second-half points in those games: 2, 2, 0 and 4. ``The second half is for my defense,'' said the Big Sky Conference's steals leader. Derrick Higgins, a junior guard, is back in the starting lineup after showing coach Bobby Braswell he can play hard and scoring 11 and 12 points in the past two games. Walk-on point guard Lucky Grundy will start his sixth straight game tonight. In Saturday's rout of UC Irvine, the Matadors had more steals (13) than turnovers (12) for the first time this season.

UC Santa Barbara (4-3) update: The Gauchos are coming off a 76-55 loss at Colorado on Saturday and lost by 15 at Pepperdine and by eight at St. Mary's three weeks ago. Northridge beat host Pepperdine by 11 last week and lost to visiting St. Mary's on a layup at the buzzer. Two of the Gauchos' victories have been over NAIA NAIA - National Alliance for Information Assurance
NAIA - National Association of Independent Artists
NAIA - National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics
NAIA - Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Metro Manila, Philippines)
NAIA - Northern Alabama Investigator's Association
Westmont College. Guard Raymond Tutt, an NAIA All-American at Azusa Pacific two years, is averaging a team-high 22.4 points a game.
