SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1996--UB Networks today announced its GeoLAN/500 super switching hub continues to build momentum in the marketplace with an installed base representing 250,000 ports and a growth rate of 100 percent during the last quarter.

In addition, 30 percent of GeoLAN/500 sales are attributed to new customers. The GeoLAN/500 hub provides strategic management, growth and evolution features with the GeoBus multigigabit backplane and new 10/100 Ethernet switching modules. Chicago Board of Trade purchased 34 GeoLAN/500 super switching hubs.
