The court held that the secure confinement of the prisoner was justified and that restrictions placed upon his confinement were warranted because the prisoner was a flight risk, and a danger to others. The court upheld restrictions on the prisoner's mail that required mail to be read for threats, conspiracy, or obstruction of justice A criminal offense that involves interference, through words or actions, with the proper operations of a court or officers of the court.
