U.S. Trade Representative Portman to Address Consumer Electronics Association Board of Industry Leaders; CEA to Release New Data Demonstrating Economic Impact of Consumer Technology.


Consumer Electronics Association:
WHAT:       United States Trade Representative (USTR) Rob Portman,
            will address the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA(R))
            Board of Industry Leaders. Ambassador Portman will discuss
            the non-agricultural market access (NAMA) negotiations in
            the Doha round, as well as the markets USTR has opened and
            seeks to open through bilateral and regional free trade
            agreements.

            Ambassador Portman's comments will come a day after CEA
            releases new data demonstrating the significant
            contributions of the consumer technology industry to the
            United States economy. CEA's forthcoming white paper will
            include industry employment figures along with data on
            wage and productivity growth.

            CEA's Board of Industry Leaders meets three times annually
            to review the state of the industry and determine the
            organization's strategic goals. Additionally, the Board of
            Industry Leaders elects CEA's officers every fall.
