U.S. Men's National Team Gears up for the 2006 World Cup as They Face El Salvador This Saturday Live on Fox Sports World.

LOS ANGELES -- The U.S. Men's National soccer team face El Salvador this Saturday in their semifinal home match of the CONCACAF region's qualifying tournament, and Fox Sports World will carry live coverage from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. starting at 4:00 p.m. Eastern/1:00 p.m. Pacific.

In preparation for this crucial qualifying match, U.S. Men's National team coach, Bruce Arena, has called up 23 of the most talented U.S. players including two goalkeepers currently active in the Barclays English Premier League, Kasey Keller (Tottenham) and Tim Howard (Manchester United). Keller is the USA's all-time leader in victories and shoutouts and will share time with Howard who was recently voted top Premiership goalkeeper. Leading the United States will be long-time team captain Claudio Reyna, as well as Brian McBride, who is second on the USA's all-time goal scoring list. A trio of young players who are leading the next generation of U.S. soccer stars and are starting in Saturday's match include 2003 Chevrolet Male Athlete of the Year, Landon Donovan, and DaMarcus Beasley, now playing abroad in Holland for PSV Eindhoven. Beasley leads the team in goal scoring with four this year. Also returning to the line-up is rising star, Bobby Convey, who did not play in the USA's 1-1 draw against Jamaica, due to his recent transfer to England's Reading FC from DC United.

Fox Sports World's coverage of the U.S. Men's National team World Cup Qualifiers continues on Wednesday, September 8, when the U.S. team travels to Panama City to face Panama. Fox Sports World's live coverage will begin at 9:00 p.m. Eastern/6:00 p.m. Pacific. The U.S. has played Panama just once before taking a 2-1 win during the 1993 Gold Cup in Dallas with goals from Eric Wynalda and Thomas Dooley.
