U.S. HOMECARE APPOINTS RASLAN TO ITS BOARD
 HARTSDALE, N.Y., Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- W. Edward Massey, president

and chief executive officer of U.S. HomeCare Corporation (NASDAQ: USHO), announced today that Shawkat Raslan was elected to a newly-created seat on the board of directors at a recent meeting held at the company's headquarters. Raslan's appointment has increased the size of the board to seven members.
Raslan is currently president and CEO of Ampex International Corporation, an asset management and investment advisory service for international clients. He also serves as a director for several companies, including Orthopedic Services, Inc.; Tiedemann International Research, a brokerage firm; and Fairfield First Bank and Trust Company.
Massey noted that the company was trying to build a hands-on, hard- working board, and he was very pleased to note that Raslan filled the bill entirely. "Shawkat's background makes him perfect for the role we have asked him to play in helping us to develop new approaches to the home care market."
U.S. HomeCare is a leading provider of comprehensive home health care services, including nursing and personal care, infusion therapy, and respiratory therapy. Services are provided by approximately 2,700 caregivers in New York, Florida, Connecticut and Pennsylvania through 19 locations, including two infusion therapy facilities and pharmacies.
