U.S. HEALTHCARE SIGNS HOSPITAL AGREEMENT WITH COOPER HOSPITAL/UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER

 BLUE BELL, Pa., April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Healthcare, Inc. (NASDAQ: USHC) and Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center today announced that the two organizations have executed a long-term Hospital Services Agreement.
 Through this Agreement, Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center, the state-designated regional trauma and pediatric care center for southern New Jersey, will provide its complete range of hospital services, including maternity, pediatric, cardiac and cancer care, to U.S. Healthcare members. The agreement, made in cooperation with Cooper's physician staff and faculty, utilizes U.S. Healthcare's "CapTainer" program methodology, which adjusts payments to the hospital based on a set of mutually agreed-to standards of quality and service.
 Spokesmen for both organizations hailed the agreement as an important step in making high quality, cost effective hospital and physician services available to residents of the Delaware Valley.
 U.S. Healthcare provides comprehensive managed health care services through health maintenance organizations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maryland. The company also provides a variety of managed health care services, including workers compensation managed care, to self-insured and other employers. In addition, the company offers quality assessment and improvement programs, patient surveys and outcome tracking, and data analysis systems for providers and purchasers of health care.
