 U.S. HEALTHCARE ANNOUNCES NEW INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENT
 BLUE BELL, Pa., Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Healthcare (NYSE: USHC),


one of the nation's leading providers of managed health care services, today announced a unique agreement with Sanitas, SA de Seguros, a Spanish private health insurer with more than 670,000 members.
 Under the agreement, U.S. Healthcare will provide, through its National Medical Excellence Program(TM), administrative and support services for Sanitas members who require sophisticated medical care from American providers.
 In 1987, U.S. Healthcare pioneered the concept of a dedicated complex case management unit. This unit works closely with nationally recognized centers of excellence to access and coordinate diagnosis and treatment for complex and severe illnesses. More than 1.3 million U.S. Healthcare members are now served by the National Medical Excellence Program.
 "This arrangement with Sanitas, SA de Seguros signifies the international recognition of U.S. Healthcare's managed care systems, our high-quality standards, and our innovative National Medical Excellence Program," said Leonard Abramson, president of U.S. Healthcare.
 Sanitas is a subsidiary of BUPA International (British United Provident Association). BUPA, created in 1947, is the largest independent health organization in the United Kingdom. BUPA insures more than 3 million people in the United Kingdom.

This contract will provide our members with access to high-quality care through experts in complex medical procedures working within a well-managed system," said John de Zulueta, chief executive officer of Sanitas, SA de Seguros.
 U.S. Healthcare will administer this contract through U.S. Healthcare Advantage, one it its subsidiaries. U.S. Healthcare and its subsidiaries provide managed health care services through HMOs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maryland and a variety of managed health care options to self-insured and other employers.
