This new product line is the result of a strategic relationship that affords U.S. Foodservice's 250,000 customers the opportunity to purchase Ritz quality gourmet products in the United States.

The Ritz Paris product line will offer the finest imported and gourmet items and will launch with more than 140 items including: Porcini Mushrooms, French Navy Beans, Saffron saffron, name for a fall-flowering plant (Crocus sativus) of the family Iridaceae (iris family) and also for a dye obtained therefrom. The plant is native to Asia Minor, where for centuries it has been cultivated for its aromatic orange-yellow stigmas (see  Threads, Julienne ju·li·enne
