U.S. FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM APPROVESAIR METHODS CORP. COMMON STOCK FOR MARGINABILITY

DENVER, Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Methods Corp. (NASDAQ-NMS: AIRM), the nation's largest exclusive provider of air medical services and systems, today announced that it was notified by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System that the company's common stock has been included among those marginable securities listed on the National Market System of the NASDAQ. This approval is effective immediately.
This determination was made by the United States Federal Reserve System based upon the company's satisfying standards comparable to those established for inclusion in the list of OTC marginable securities. Air Methods' inclusion on the marginable securities list complements the company's recent financial results which have been characterized by a turnaround in its operating securities performance through the five successive quarters throughout 1992-1993.

Securities of publicly traded corporations, such as Air Methods Corp., are eligible for marginability based upon two predetermined guidelines established by these governing bodies. In essence, for a security to be marginable, certain qualitative and quantitative measures and tests must be met in accordance with these guidelines.
