New blanket purchase agreement builds on DigitalNet's previous history of DOJ work

DigitalNet, a leading provider of network computing for the enterprise, today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division (JMD) awarded DigitalNet one of three Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) to support its Justice Consolidated Office Network (JCON) program. Combined, the three BPAs have a potential annual value of up to $100 million per government fiscal year. If all anticipated renewal options are exercised under DigitalNet's GSA Schedule, the BPA could potentially extend up to an additional 15 years concurrent with the term of DigitalNet's GSA Schedule contract. However, a Justice Department re-competition is anticipated within the next 5 to 10 years. This award builds on DigitalNet's successful past five years of work with the DOJ, which includes JCON projects for the Executive Office of the United States Attorneys (EOUSA), United States Marshals Service (USMS), and Antitrust Division, among others.

The JCON Program is an infrastructure initiative that creates a reliable, secure office automation system that allows litigating, management, and law enforcement divisions the ability to exchange electronic data while obtaining implementation, operation, and maintenance cost efficiencies. The Program encompasses approximately 71,000 users in 14 divisions of the DOJ.

Under this BPA, the DOJ divisions have the ability to acquire Information Technology and related services contained within DigitalNet's or its teaming partners' GSA schedules. Examples of these types of services include: network design, engineering solutions, implementation and integration, operations and technical support, end-user and help desk support, training, transition planning and execution.
