) Eight Las Vegas area organizations recently received grants from the U.S. Bancorp Foundation.

The grants, totaling $43,000, were awarded to:

-- Lied Discovery Children's Museum to support the Subsidized

Admissions Program;

-- KNPR 89.5 FM Nevada Public Radio Nevada Public Radio was founded in 1980 as a public corporation to operate publicly funded radio in Nevada. NPR operates 5 stations in Nevada, 1 station in Utah and 5 retransmitters.  to support operational

expenses;

-- East Las Vegas East Las Vegas may refer to two places in the United States of America:
  • Whitney, Nevada, formerly called East Las Vegas
  • A former town in New Mexico, now part of Las Vegas, New Mexico.
 Community Development to provide operational

support;

-- EOB EOB Explanation Of Benefits
EOB End Of Block
EOB Eye of the Beholder (game)
EOB Executive Office Building (next to White House)
EOB Electronic Order of Battle
EOB Electricity Oversight Board
 Community Action Partnership to support the Community

Business Library;

-- Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada to support

operational expenses;

-- Nevada Council on Economic Education to support the

Entrepreneurship Education program;

-- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada - Las Vegas to support the

Friends for Life School-based Mentoring program; and

-- KLVX-TV Channel 10 (PBS PBS
