Bono v. Benov 197 F.3d 409 (9th Cir. 1999). An inmate convicted of the first degree murder and robbery of two Board Patrol agents sought habeas corpus habeas corpus (hā`bēəs kôr`pəs) [Lat.,=you should have the body], writ directed by a judge to some person who is detaining another, commanding him to bring the body of the person in his custody at a specified time to a  relief arguing that the United States Parole Commission The United States Parole Commission is responsible to grant or deny parole and to supervise those released on parole to incarcerated individuals who come under its jurisdiction.[1]

The commission has jurisdiction over:
 acted with presumed vindictiveness in extending his presumptive pre·sump·tive  
adj.
1. Providing a reasonable basis for belief or acceptance.

2. Founded on probability or presumption.



pre·sump
 parole date by twelve years. The district court granted the petition and the appeals court affirmed, overturning the decision of the commission. (United States Parole Commission)
