The court noted that the jailers had no constitutional duty to question the tribal officers as to their probable cause Apparent facts discovered through logical inquiry that would lead a reasonably intelligent and prudent person to believe that an accused person has committed a crime, thereby warranting his or her prosecution, or that a Cause of Action has accrued, justifying a civil lawsuit.  for arrest, to verify the validity of the grounds for detention under tribal law, or to conduct an independent constitutional or historical analysis to determine whether the tribe's assertion of jurisdiction over the detainees was legitimate.
