U.S. "Neozyme" technology featured at Habitat II U.N. symposium in Istanbul.

NEWPORT BEACH Newport Beach, residential and resort city (1990 pop. 66,643), Orange co., S Calif., on Newport Bay and the Pacific Ocean; inc. 1906. It is a popular seaside resort and yachting center. Manufactures include electrical and medical equipment, computers, boats, and adhesives. , Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 6, 1996-- Neozymes(TM), unique bio-organic catalytic agents that dramatically accelerate the degradation of organic wastes, are one of the breakthrough "enviro-friendly" technologies being highlighted at the Second World Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II Habitat II - the Second United Nations Conference on Human Settlements - was held in Istanbul, Turkey from June 3-14, 1996, twenty years after the 1976 Habitat conference in Vancouver [1] that had led to the establishment of the Nairobi-based United Nations Centre ) this week in Istanbul, Turkey.

Successful applications of the patented Neozyme technology -- in a municipal waste water plant, a sludge processing facility and a food processing Food processing is the set of methods and techniques used to transform raw ingredients into food for consumption by humans or animals. The food processing industry utilises these processes.  plant -- are being featured in presentations at the Conference's United Nations Symposium on Environmentally Sound Technologies.

Policy-makers and urban managers from the world's governments and industries are attending the Symposium in search of cost-effective solutions to local environmental problems.

Conferees have shown considerable interest in the ability of Neozymes to improve the operational characteristics of biological wastewater treatment systems. Neozyme formulations contain biologically derived catalysts and other compounds, and are bacteria-free.

"Neozymes are non-toxic, non-irritating, non-flammable, 100 percent biodegradable and totally environmentally friendly Environmentally friendly, also referred to as nature friendly, is a term used to refer to goods and services considered to inflict minimal harm on the environment.[1] ," said Michael G. Dale, executive vice president of Neozyme International, a subsidiary of International Daleco Corp. (OTC/BB:ILDO) of Newport Beach.  products for use in waste water treatment, cleaning and degreasing, and odor elimination.

"Neozyme products replace many hazardous chemicals, minimize capital equipment requirements and optimize the treatment of industrial and municipal pollutants," Dale noted.

"Neozyme biochemistry solutions also reduce the cost of complying with regulatory and safety requirements. Developing countries could save billions of dollars in plant and capital equipment costs over the next decade by using the Neozyme technology to treat municipal waste water."
