U.K. creates fund to enable charities to participate in front line services. (Voluntary Sector).LONDON, UK -- The British government is consulting with the the voluntary and community sector in order to decide how to distribute a 125 [pounds sterling] (C$300) million fund to enhance the capability of that sector to deliver front line services. The Futurebuilder Fund, first announced in 2002, is designed to remove barriers to enable charities to become more involved in the delivery of services, particularly in health and social care, crime and social cohesion cohesion: see adhesion and cohesion.
