U-Ship Subsidiary Names Alan Zenk Vice President, Internet Product Development.

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 4, 1999--U-Ship, Inc. (NASDAQ:USHP), now doing business as United Shipping & Technology (US&T), announced today that Alan Zenk has been named Vice President of Internet Development for its Intelligent Kiosk Company (IQK) subsidiary.

Zenk has been retained by the company as a consultant since it began studying electronic and internet document exchange in 1998. Zenk will be responsible for managing development and implementation of all internet product and service offerings and will act as the corporate webmaster. He reports to Tim Becker, President of IQK.

IQK announced plans in January 1999 to develop a specialized internet courier and delivery service to support a courier roll-up strategy for US&T's Advanced Courier Services, by Spring 1999.

According to Peter Lytle, Chairman and CEO of US&T, e-courier tracking packages will offer customers an edge. "We are planning to offer a new e-courier package to our existing and potential customers as a totally free service," said Lytle. "And we will introduce new internet technologies to enhance the availability, timeliness, security and compression of information that isn't readily available today. With Alan on board, we can direct the resources we need to stay in the forefront of the courier industry with cutting edge technology."

For the past ten years, Zenk has developed and managed computerized database applications, with a recent focus on web-enabled and e-commerce applications. He was President of Internet Innovations, Inc., held the position of Chief Technical Officer of American Plastics Exchange and was an officer of Humanetics Corporation, a Minneapolis biotechnology firm. Zenk has a B.A. degree from St. John's University and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.

The IQK subsidiary was formed in July 1998 to develop and sell intelligent kiosk systems to the shipping, electronic advertising and other information and internet-based businesses.
