U Michigan supporters file: schools, politicians, and businesses line up to support diversity policy. (In The News).


Weeks before the U.S. Supreme Court begins hearing arguments in the University of Michigan (body, education) University of Michigan - A large cosmopolitan university in the Midwest USA. Over 50000 students are enrolled at the University of Michigan's three campuses. Sixty amicus briefs supporting affirmative action had been submitted to the court by the February 19 deadline, three times more than those opposing the policy that considers minority status as a factor in admissions.

Universities siding with Michigan include University of Arizona (body, education) University of Arizona - The University was founded in 1885 as a Land Grant institution with a three-fold mission of teaching, research and public service. , University of Pittsburgh, Wayne State, Temple, Arizona State, Illinois public universities, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, Georgetown, and Vanderbilt.
