A LARGE group of particularly nasty hooligans have recently caused substantial damage at Tynemouth Park. They were discovered breaking up concrete and throwing slabs at terrified swans and ducks on the boating lake.

A MINI Golf complex has opened at Tynemouth Park. The project, including two nine-hole golf courses, with cascading water features and exotic plants, cost over pounds 170,000. The former Clocktower cafe in the park has been refurbished and renamed Longsands.
