Two-platen series gains smaller model.

The two-platen HM press line from Battenfeld of America, South Elgin, Ill., has been extended with a new smaller model. A 440-ton size is being introduced this month at the Fakuma show in Germany. Features include a maximum injection pressure of 43,530 psi and injection speeds up to 300 mm/sec. It's available with clamps from 350 to 550 tons. The HM series has fully retractable re·tract
