Inc. and Hal Roach Studios Syndication Inc. Quintex Entertainment, the United States affiliate of Qintex Australia Ltd., field for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October 1989 after its Australian affiliate failed to provide the company with $5.9 million owed to MCA MCA in full Music Corporation of America Entertainment conglomerate. It was founded in Chicago in 1924 by Jules Stein as a talent agency. In the 1960s it bought Decca Records and Universal Pictures, and today it produces films, music, and television shows.
