The system was introduced by the Japanese parent of Yushin America Inc., Cranston, R.I., at the recent Platex show in Osaka. Users can program both robots to move in and out of the mold simultaneously, or one robot can retrieve a part from the mold and hand it off to the second robot for transport outside the molding area.

The robots have traverse strokes of 1400 or 1500 mm, vertical stroke of 850 mm, and strip stroke of 508 or 578 mm. Both robots are programmed from a single controller with new software that prevents collision and displays information on both robots on one screen.
