Two men jailed over deadly fire.

Summary: David Philip and Jake Sheehan have been found guilty of two counts of murder after starting a house fire that killed two people.

Two men have been jailed for life for murdering a teenage girl and her grandmother by setting fire to their flat as they slept.

David Philip, 19, and Jake Sheehan, 20, torched the property in Mile End, east London East London, city (1991 pop. 240,474), Eastern Cape, SE South Africa, on the Indian Ocean. The city grew around a British military post founded in 1847. Its harbor was developed from 1886, and today it is a leading South African port. , after a fight with another youth who lived there over a debt of Au15.

Philip had told the youth he would burn his house down and carried out his threat in February, but only 17 year-old Shannen Vickers and her 57 year- old grandmother Pauline Adams were in the fifth floor flat.

As Judge Richard Hawkins jailed the pair there was loud cheering and applause from the public gallery with cries of "scum" and "you are going to rot" as they were taken down.

Nicola Vickers said in a family impact statement: "I would have loved to have seen my daughter get married and have children of her own. My chance to become a grandmother has been taken away from me."
