Two kinds of metal separators work together. (Auxiliaries).

Mounting both magnetic and electronic separators on extruders and molding machines is said to eliminate virtually all ferrous and nonferrous tramp metals. The new BMC (BMC Software, Inc., Houston, TX, www.bmc.com) A leading supplier of software that supports and improves the availability, performance, and recovery of applications in complex computing environments.  Duplex Separator from Bunting bunting, common name for small, plump birds of the family Fringillidae (finch family). Among the American buntings are the indigo bunting, in which the summer plumage of the male reflects sunlight as a rich, metallic blue; the painted bunting, or nonpareil (  Magnetics Co., Newton, Kan., combines a standard Bunting low-profile drawer magnet and an electronic HS metal detector with integral hopper. The low-profile drawer magnet requires less than 6 in. of headroom head·room

. Its single row of three magnetic cartridges captures ferrous debris from resins and regrind.

The HS metal detector/separator is a compact electronic unit designed to sense and reject both ferrous and non-ferrous metals One method of classifying metals is by their content, and one common division is into ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals. The term ferrous is derived from the Latin "Ferrum" which means "containing iron", thus ferrous metals contain iron and non ferrous metals do not.  in free-flowing materials. By capturing ferrous debris, the drawer magnet reduces the number of HS reject cycles, conserving good material. The HS Detector acts as back-up for catching ferrous debris and also rejects other common metal contaminants such as stainless steel stainless steel: see steel.

Any of a family of alloy steels usually containing 10–30% chromium. The presence of chromium, together with low carbon content, gives remarkable resistance to corrosion and heat.
