Two Trees welcomes more film companies to growing movie community in DUMBO.

Two Trees Management announced that two companies that service the film industry, Brainstorm Digital and Sidetrack Films LLC, are moving to DUMBO.

Brainstorm Digital, a film company that creates and edits special effects for motion pictures, has taken space at 45 Main Street, while Sidetrack Films, an independent film production firm will be located at 55 Washington Street.

These two additions add to the growing number of film-related companies in the Brooklyn waterfront community, now totaling 12 such firms.

"We're really excited to have Brainstorm Digital and Sidetrack Films join us in DUMBO," said Caroline Thebaud, Associate Director of Leasing for Two Trees. "With so many creative tenants; recording studios, entertainment companies, graphic designers, architects, ad agencies and our current roster of film companies, it seems natural that other creative/film-related companies would flock here for their offices; and the fact that many films, TV shows and commercials are shot in this neighborhood just adds to the appeal."

Brainstorm Digital leased 3,500 s/f at 45 Main Street, an office building which features a spacious lobby with attendant and glorious views from seven-foot tall windows. The company, which signed a seven-year lease, has done special effects for noteworthy films such as A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man, Music and Lyrics, and Apollo 13. Brainstorm Digital was represented by Coldwell Banker Mid-Plaza Real Estate and Two Trees Management represented itself.

Sidetrack Films has signed a three year lease for 3,000 s/f at 55 Washington Street, which boasts thirteen-foot ceilings, river views and floor-to-ceiling windows. Sidetrack Films was founded in early 2005 and dedicates itself to producing theatrical feature films. Two Trees Management represented itself in this transaction and Sidetrack Films did not have a broker.

Other film-related companies already settled in DUMBO are Hornet Animations, Dancing Diablo, Shadowbox Films, East River Films LLC, Aaron Augenblick, 143X0 Inc., Loop Filmworks, P. Pohl Productions, Down Low Pictures and Surround, Inc.
