"Because of their prior criminal records, my brother and I oppose probation for either Nardone or McNulty," said Teri Adams. "Both men have a history of being treated gingerly by the Philadelphia justice system." While out on bail for the October 2 beatings, both Nardone and McNulty have allegedly committed further acts of violence. McNulty was arrested and charged in July for assaulting a Philadelphia man. The man suffered facial fractures and was hospitalized. Nardone was recently fired from his job at the University of Pennsylvania (body, education) University of Pennsylvania - The home of ENIAC and Machiavelli. http://upenn.edu/. Three additional teamsters -- Mark Hopkins, Norma Bottomer, and Charlie Davis were arrested and charged September 8 for their role in the assault. Pennsylvania Conference of Teamsters leader, John Morris, who appears to have signaled the assault by ramming a hat on Don Adams' head, a union tactic known as "marking" or "capping" a target for attack, has yet to be charged in the incident.
