Two New Jersey firms merge.One of New Jersey's oldest and most prestigious commercial real estate brokerage firms, Charles Klatskin Co., has formed a joint venture with Binswanger/CBB, a leading international real estate organization. The new entity, Binswanger/Klatsking will provide commercial and industrial real estate brokerage, consulting and development services. Headquartered in Teterboro, New Jersey Teterboro is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, U.S. As of the United States 2000 census, the borough population was 18, making it the smallest municipality in New Jersey by population at the time of the census, ahead of Pine Valley (population 20) and Tavistock (with 24 , Binswanger/Klatskin will also have a Central New Jersey office in Edison. The senior executive team of Binswanger/Klatskin will be led by Charles Klatskin, Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. ; Anthony Scaro, COO; and David Knee, Executive Vice President. In addition, two of the most accomplished industrial real estate specialists, Joel Lubin and Charles Fern Charles "Charlie" Fern (1888-1990), a barnstorming Hawaii aviator and newspaper pioneer, was a University of California graduate and a World War I pilot. Mr. Fern, who was raised in the Madison Barracks community in Sackets Harbor, New York, arrived in the Hawaiian Islands in 1919 , formerly of Weichert Commercial, have joined Binswanger/Klatskin as Executive Vice Presidents and will manage the Edison office. The present Klatskin sales team includes Michael S. Schaible, Director of Industrial Leasing and Sales; Ronald Schecther, Senior Vice President; Rian Smith, AssociateVice President-Sales; Fredric W. Lipton, Senior Vice President; Amy E. Cole, Director of Office Leasing and Sales; Daivd M. Ginsburg, Senior Vice President; and Robert C. Lonshein, Senior Vice President. As a result of this new venture, Binswanger/Klatskin is expecting to significantly grow its brokerage team which currently has 20 professionals employed in the two offices.
