Early years Moore was born September 22, 1978 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. , a volunteer for Urban Peak, has received the 2001 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year award from the Department of Local Affairs Community Services Block Grant The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) provides U.S. federal funding for Community Action Agencies (CAAs) and other programs that seek to address poverty at the community level. Mr. Moore and his family are financial supporters of Urban Peak and its programs, he actively mentors three youth, shares his expertise by serving on agency committees, and lends his support to Urban Peak youth and staff alike. The awards ceremony took place at the State CSBG Conference Awards Dinner on May 24, 2001, in Grand Junction, Colorado The City of Grand Junction is a home rule municipality located in Mesa County, Colorado, USA. Urban Peak is also pleased to announce that the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Veterans of America (GLBVA) has won the 2001 Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (DOVIA DOVIA Directors of Volunteers in Agencies ) "We Count On You" Award for Outstanding Volunteer Group. It is estimated that Rocky Mountain GLBVA has contributed over $8,400 in food costs and over 2,100 hours of volunteer work in the past six years through the coordination, shopping, cooking, delivering, and serving of meals at the shelter and through their contributions of time and resources for meals, events and fundraisers. The awards luncheon took place at the Macaroni Grill Macaroni Grill (also known as Romano's Macaroni Grill) is a chain of Italian food casual dining restaurants in the US and Canada. The chain and brand name is owned by Brinker International. restaurant in Cherry Creek on May 30, 2001, in Denver, Colorado. Urban Peak was also able to recognize the GLBVA at Charlie's Bar on the evening of May 30, 2001, while they were holding one of their regular fundraisers for Urban Peak.
